EXPERIENCE
I have been photographing weddings full time for 8 years, and have been a serious photographer for many more. In the wedding photography world, that's veteran status. I highly recommend any photographer you're considering, how long they've been photographing weddings. Ask to see photos from a full wedding day—many people can photograph in natural light, but can they deal with a dark ballroom, using advanced flash and lighting techniques to convey mood and feeling? I can.
EDUCATION
I graduated from the University of Utah in 2000, with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in photography. This isn't just a passing hobby for me. I feel that my education in fine art photography and art history, gives me an edge that helps set my photographs apart.
STYLE
Refinement, timelessness, authenticity, creativity, artfulness, forethought, freshness...these are all adjectives that describe the kind of photography I do. I seek to create photographs that will endure the test of time, while being mindful of current trends. I'm forward thinking, while paying homage to the past. I want your photographs to show your personality, and convey the feeling and mood of your wedding day.
ENERGY & PASSION
I thrive on the fast pace and energy of weddings. You won't see me standing around during your reception, because I'm constantly looking, listening, and feeling for moments to photograph. Photographing your wedding is a big deal to me, an honor. There are no do-overs in weddings, which is why I bring every ounce of energy and passion I have, to each wedding I photograph.
FUN
I have had many a groom say that he actually had fun at the engagement session, which isn't always expected to be a highlight in a groom to-be's wedding preparation. I try to bring fun and lightness to my photo sessions, in order to make my clients comfortable. This makes for relaxed, natural photos.
